Living in Canada means that you have seen a canoe. Either you watch someone paddling one, racing one, or a group learning how to paddle.
Canoe Kayak Ontario (CKO) is the officially recognized provincial sports organization that supports its three (3) disciplines including Sprint, Marathon and Whitewater which in turn promote competitive and recreational canoeing and kayaking.
All three (3) disciplines are represented on the CKO Board of Directors and share share a common goal:
“to support athletes, coaches and newcomers to the sport through our clubs and events”.
CKO supports and promotes Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport (MTCS) guidelines and procedures to ensure safe training on and off the water. The CKO Board meets monthly and deals with provincial and specific issues. We also represent Ontario at Canoe Kayak Canada (CKC) events and committee level.
CKO is proud to represent some of the strongest paddling organizations in Canada.
